New Year, New things to come for the powertap. Here is my top ten Powertap events of 2006. There were a lot of wattage/power events with more and more powertaps and SRM's being used in competition.
10. TIAA-Cref is never is photographed racing with a PT...
9. Powertap 2.4 is launched - not in hand at the dealers,
8. Powertap 2.4 is actually arriving,
7. Zipp offers commercially built PT wheels,
6. American Classic offers the first PT 2.4 wheels to be built,
5. Power Tap wheels win Tour of California,
4. Power Tap wheels win Paris Nice,
3. Power Tap Wheels win Tour de Georgia,
2. Training Manager from Cyclingpeaks is launched,
1. Power Tap wheels win Tour de France!
2007 predictions:
- More amatuers and professionals will race (and train) with Power Tap wheels,
- Racing will get harder and faster as those using wattage will raise the level of preperation,
- People who do not use power will continue to fall behind,
- Peaking will get more quanitifable as the population of people using Training Manager grows and the trial and error experimentation is share allowing people to learn from each other,
- Racing built wheels will get better and more popular.

TIAA cref, or Slipstream now, will be using Powertaps in all their races and training. They put the new wireless hubs in every single one of the wheels they got this year.
A certain local Slipstream rider had both a PT and an SRM on the other day as he dropped me going up Caesars Head. I wonder what his wattage was and he left me behind.
